Release does not turn the image into proof of the case outcome, and it does not show whether a person remains under another form of custody or supervision. Pershing County publishes no official web roster or released-person photo display found in the July 28, 2026 source sweep.
Nevada public access begins with NRS Chapter 239 and the policy of the agency that holds the image. Disclosure may be limited by an exemption, redaction, the status of the case, or the simple fact that the agency does not hold the requested file. No Nevada-specific anti-pay-to-remove or mugshot-publication statute was found in the official research. Do not infer a guaranteed right to post, remove, or receive every image.
Pershing Mugshot Discovery Channels
The correct source depends on which facility created the identity record. Pershing County Jail is a Sheriff facility. Lovelock Correctional Center is an NDOC prison. A photo from one system should not be described as though it came from the other.

Pershing Sheriff App Photos
The Pershing County Sheriff offers official iOS and Android apps. The Pershing Post reports that the app includes inmate information, most-wanted information, and registry tools. Available evidence does not confirm that the inmate module includes photos, historical bookings, release reasons, or 24-hour and 72-hour release filters.

Request Pershing Booking Photos
The strongest county source is a focused request to the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office. The official request PDF allows paper copies, electronic copies, certified copies, or inspection and asks the requester to describe the record with care. Since the form is dated 2022, call (775) 273-2641 to verify delivery details before sending it.
- Identify the person by full name, prior spellings, and date of birth if known.
- Add the approximate booking date plus a booking or incident number when available.
- Ask specifically for the booking photograph tied to that booking. Also request the booking sheet when it will help link the image to the event.
- Choose electronic delivery if suitable and ask the office to state any cost before copying.
- If part of the file is confidential, request the segregable nonconfidential portion and the authority for withholding the rest.
- Compare the response with the court docket and release record through Pershing County’s released-person lookup.

NDOC Pershing Release Photos
The NDOC Offender Search is the right photo channel for a person held at Lovelock Correctional Center or another Nevada state prison. Some current or parole profiles embed an offender photo. An inactive, discharged result tested during research showed “Inmate Photo Unavailable,” so a missing image is an interface limit, not proof that no identification photo exists.
NDOC Administrative Regulation 120 says identification photos, if available, are public information with stated limits. NDOC’s published schedule lists standard paper copies at $0.15 per page and separate media or extraordinary-use costs. A digital photograph may not fit a page-copy estimate, so request a cost statement. Make clear that the request concerns an NDOC identity photo, not a Pershing Sheriff booking image.
Search results should be matched by offender ID, aliases, physical descriptors, and institution or status location rather than by name alone. NDOC may label a discharged profile as inactive and still omit its image. The downloadable demographic and release data can help connect an offender ID to a release date, but those raw files are not certified records. Ask NDOC for the identification image and a certified or official status record when formal proof is needed.
Pershing Registry And News Photos
The Nevada Sex Offender Registry may show a photograph for a person whose registration tier and circumstances place the profile on the public site. It does not cover all released people or every Tier I registrant. Its image documents a registry identity, not necessarily the photo from a Pershing County booking.
Official public-safety notices or local news reports may also reproduce an agency image. Read the publication date, caption, named agency, and stated event. The photo establishes no more than what that dated notice said. It should not be used to claim that the person remains in jail after release or that a charge ended in conviction.
Keep captions factual when preserving an official image for a legitimate court or records purpose. Identify the supplying agency, booking date when known, and date the image was obtained. Avoid labels that imply guilt or present custody.
Nevada S.A.V.E. is another identity and notification system, but it should not be treated as a mugshot repository. A supervised person can remain searchable after physical release, while someone no longer in custody may be absent. Any profile photo or identifier shown there must be confirmed with the originating agency. S.A.V.E. replaced VINE and VINELink in Nevada, so old VINE instructions may point to a retired interface.
Official press releases need the same restraint. An arrest notice may include the image supplied at the time, yet the case can later be dismissed, amended, sealed, or resolved in another way. Check the Pershing court chronology before repeating a caption. The court record supplies the disposition; the image alone supplies none.
Pershing Mugshots After Sealing
Nevada generally uses record sealing rather than “expungement.” NRS 179.2405 through 179.301 governs eligibility, procedure, effect, and reopening. The outcome and waiting period vary. A sealing order can change public access to the underlying case record, but the effect on copies held by other sources requires source-specific review.
First obtain the signed sealing order. Then contact the government office or publisher displaying the image, identify the exact page or record, and ask what process applies. No official Nevada rule found in the research supports a blanket promise that a mugshot publisher must remove an image for a set fee or within a set period. Build a clear chronology before asking for a correction. Preserve the booking date, case number, final disposition, release date, and sealing order when one exists. Send the source only the documents relevant to its record. A Sheriff image, an NDOC identification photo, a registry photo, and a news image may be controlled by four different offices, each with a different reason for publication.
Corrections should be framed around accuracy and lawful access. If the displayed image belongs to another person, provide identifiers that show the mismatch without spreading more private data. If the caption implies current custody, provide the later release or discharge record. The originating office remains the best source for an official record correction.
