Pershing 24-Hour Release Fallback
The official source sweep completed July 28, 2026 found no Pershing County Sheriff webpage that publishes a rolling list of releases from the prior day. A current roster, if one appears through another interface, would answer who is booked now. It cannot be turned into a reliable list of who left. The absence of a name can reflect bond, dismissal, sentence completion, a transfer, a spelling issue, or delayed data.
Start with the Pershing Sheriff public-record request form. Ask for the jail movement or release log between exact start and end times in Pacific Time. The Sheriff’s Office can also be reached at (775) 273-2641. A request made after the interval closes may capture entries that were not complete during live processing.
Check Pershing Same-Day Releases
Define the same-day question before contacting the records custodian. “Today” can shift with the hour of the request, while a fixed interval is reproducible. Include the full name, any prior spellings, date of birth if known, and an approximate booking date. Those details reduce the risk of mixing two people with similar names.
- Set exact Pacific Time endpoints for the 24-hour period. Write both the date and time.
- Call the Pershing County Sheriff at (775) 273-2641 for the current records route and confirm where the dated PDF should be sent.
- Request the booking sheet, custody-movement or release entry, release date and time, disposition, and receiving agency when a transfer occurred.
- Check the correct court file for the order that led to release. A court order may precede the jail’s physical processing.
- Use Nevada S.A.V.E. and the NDOC Offender Search if transfer, state custody, or supervision is possible.
- For one known person rather than a whole time window, use the broader Pershing County released-inmate search path.
A precise request may be phrased as a request for all nonconfidential release or movement entries during the stated interval, including the person’s name, booking number, release time, disposition, and receiving agency. Ask for segregable fields if some material is withheld. “Segregable” means the agency supplies the public portion while removing protected parts.
The court check depends on the case level. Lake Township Justice Court handles misdemeanor matters and early stages of many felony or gross-misdemeanor cases. The Eleventh Judicial District Court handles felony cases through judgment and sentence. No unified local trial-court name portal was confirmed. Ask the proper clerk for the docket, bail or release order, judgment, and later revocation or discharge entries. A case may require both courts when it began in Justice Court and then moved to District Court.
Pershing 24-Hour Release Fields
Pershing County does not publish an online field layout for a 24-hour feed. The table therefore identifies fields to request, not columns promised on a public webpage. Each item helps separate a release from a mere change in custody location.

A bond or own-recognizance release ends the jail hold but does not decide the criminal case. Time served means the credited term was satisfied. Transfer means Pershing’s custody ended while confinement may continue elsewhere. Work release, trustee work, and electronic supervision can also place a person outside the building without final discharge.

Pershing Sheriff App Release Check
Pershing County has official Sheriff apps for iOS and Android. A local report says the app includes inmate information, most-wanted information, and registry tools. Neither the store material nor an official Sheriff source reviewed for the project confirms a recent-release filter, release reasons, or a 24-hour archive.

Open the live inmate module and note what it actually shows. Then confirm any apparent change with the Sheriff’s release entry. App data can be useful as a prompt, but an absent name is not a release certificate.
Pershing Discharged-Inmate Reports
Pershing County Code 13.30.080 creates a distinctive records lead. It requires monthly Sheriff reporting to the County Commission about current sentenced prisoners and describes a monthly report concerning people discharged from incarceration. Those reports are not rolling 24-hour feeds. Still, their segregable release fields may help when a same-day log is unavailable.
Ask for the monthly discharged-inmate report covering the event date, limited to nonconfidential fields that identify the discharge and its timing. Do not seek unrelated financial or private data. County code discusses ability-to-pay information in this reporting context, which may require redaction. A focused request for release fields gives the custodian a clearer task.
Internal jail records and a public roster are different products. A public view may remove a person at once, retain an entry for a short time, or show nothing at all. Pershing publishes no confirmed public retention rule. The underlying record may still be requested after the display changes.
Note: A monthly report can corroborate a discharge, but it cannot substitute for an exact same-day movement entry.
Pershing Release Versus Custody
Lovelock contains two separate systems. Pershing County Jail is run by the Sheriff. Lovelock Correctional Center is an NDOC state prison. If a person moved from the jail to NDOC, use the Lovelock Correctional Center route or another Nevada prison record. The county list alone cannot prove community release.

Nevada S.A.V.E. replaced VINE and VINELink in 2025. It warns that people no longer in custody may not be included, so no result is inconclusive. NDOC’s search covers state-prison identities and can show an inactive or discharged status. Neither source replaces the Pershing Sheriff’s record for how a county booking ended.
NDOC release data can include an offender ID, offender booking ID, release date, and release description. Those state fields do not describe the end of every county booking. A discharged NDOC profile may also lack booking details or a photo. Use it when the movement entry points to state custody or when the person was at Lovelock Correctional Center, not as a substitute for the Sheriff’s same-day log.
If a federal receiving agency appears, follow that agency. The Bureau of Prisons locator can show a federal result as released, but U.S. Marshals pretrial custody has no comparable public historical locator. An ICE transfer should be checked through the ICE detainee locator and direct contact route. In every case, Pershing’s receiving-agency field is the bridge between the local exit and the next system.
